Symposium: June 28-29, 2010

The 2010 Center for Teacher Leadership Symposium:  June 28 - 29

Predicated on the belief that teachers are a largely untapped resource for change and improvement in American education. Helping teachers see themselves as agents of change and providing them with the support they need to be effective leaders is critical to improving teaching and learning in our nation’s schools.

• The 2010 Symposium will provide an opportunity for school, district, and state-level teams to learn from the work of teacher leadership advocates and from each other. 
• Examples of successful efforts to promote and encourage teacher leadership will be shared through panels and breakout sessions. 
• Throughout the Symposium, participants will be encouraged to reflect upon what they are learning about the challenges and the benefits of harnessing the power of teachers as change agents and how these lessons might be applied in their own context.
